Airmove – Driver Partner Privacy Policy
Airmove Australia Pty Ltd is committed to providing quality services to our Driver Partners and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information. We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information. What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual.
For Driver Partners, the Personal Information we collect may include:
- Full name and contact details;
- Residential or business address;
- Email address and phone number;
- Date of birth, where required;
- Driver’s licence details;
- Vehicle registration and vehicle information;
- Insurance details;
- Identification and verification documents;
- Business and tax information, where applicable;
- Driver profile information and photograph;
- Job and booking information;
- Location and GPS information;
- Driver App and device information;
- Customer-related information associated with jobs you perform;
- Payment and payout information;
- Communications with Airmove;
- Ratings, feedback, complaints and service-related information; and
- Other information reasonably required to verify your eligibility to provide services through Airmove.
This Personal Information is obtained in many ways, including during Driver Partner registration and onboarding, correspondence, by telephone, by email, via the Driver App and website www.airmove.com.au, through documents submitted by you, from third parties involved in verification or service delivery, from other publicly available sources, from cookies, and through your use of the Airmove platform.
We don’t guarantee website links or policies of authorised third parties.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of:
- Registering and managing your Driver Partner account;
- Verifying your identity and eligibility to provide services;
- Verifying your driver’s licence, vehicle, insurance and other required documentation;
- Facilitating and managing jobs assigned through the Airmove platform;
- Providing job, pickup and drop-off information;
- Supporting navigation, routing and location-based functionality;
- Communicating with you regarding jobs, bookings, payments and operational matters;
- Processing Driver Partner payments or payouts;
- Providing customer and Driver Partner support;
- Managing safety, service quality and operational requirements;
- Investigating incidents, complaints, disputes or suspected misuse;
- Maintaining the security and integrity of the Airmove platform;
- Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements; and
- Improving our services, application and platform.
We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.
You may unsubscribe from our mailing or marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing. Service-related communications, including job notifications, account notifications, security alerts and other operational communications, may still be sent where required to provide our services.
When we collect Personal Information, we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
Location Data
The Airmove Driver App collects location data to enable features such as job allocation, navigation, real-time job tracking, pickup and drop-off coordination, customer updates and operational visibility.
Location data may be collected while you are using the Driver App and, where required for the relevant functionality, when the app is closed or not actively displayed on your device (background location access).
Location information may be associated with your active or assigned jobs and may be used to:
- Support job allocation and dispatch;
- Provide navigation and routing;
- Confirm or support pickup and drop-off activity;
- Provide customers with relevant job progress and status updates;
- Monitor and manage operational performance;
- Investigate incidents, complaints or disputes;
- Support safety and security; and
- Troubleshoot and improve the Airmove platform.
We do not share your location data with third parties except where required or reasonably necessary to provide our core functionality, such as mapping, routing, communication, platform hosting, operational support or other authorised services.
You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. However, disabling required location permissions may prevent certain Driver App features from functioning correctly.
Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record, or health information.
Where applicable to Driver Partner onboarding, verification or compliance requirements, Airmove may collect certain sensitive information, such as criminal record information or health-related information where legally permitted and reasonably required.
Sensitive information will be used by us only:
- For the primary purpose for which it was obtained;
- For a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose;
- With your consent, where required; or
- Where required or authorised by law.
Driver and Vehicle Information
To determine and maintain your eligibility to provide services through Airmove, we may collect and verify information relating to your driver’s licence, vehicle, registration, insurance, permits, accreditations and other applicable requirements.
You are responsible for ensuring that information and documents provided to Airmove are accurate, complete and current.
You must notify Airmove if any licence, registration, insurance, permit, accreditation or other information relevant to your eligibility expires, is suspended, cancelled or otherwise becomes invalid.
Job and Customer Information
When you accept or perform an Airmove job, you may receive access to information relating to the customer and booking, including names, contact details, pickup and drop-off locations, access information, floor information, booking details and service requirements.
This information is provided to you only to enable you to perform the relevant Airmove service.
You must not use, copy, retain, disclose or share customer information for any purpose unrelated to the Airmove job.
Customer information must not be used for personal marketing, solicitation, private business arrangements or any other unauthorised purpose.
Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you.
However, in some circumstances, we may be provided with information by third parties, including identity verification providers, licensing or registration authorities, insurance providers, payment providers, technology providers, customers, or other service providers supporting the Airmove platform.
In such a case, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party where required.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances, including the following:
- To customers where reasonably necessary to facilitate an Airmove job;
- To Airmove employees, contractors and authorised personnel;
- To technology and service providers supporting the Airmove platform;
- To mapping, navigation and routing service providers;
- To payment and financial service providers;
- To identity, licence or document verification providers;
- To communication and notification service providers;
- To insurance or claims service providers where applicable;
- To professional advisers and service providers;
- To third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
- Where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell Driver Partner Personal Information as a standalone product.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of our technology, hosting or service providers may operate outside Australia or may store or process Personal Information outside Australia.
Where reasonably required to operate the Airmove platform, your Personal Information may be disclosed to or processed by such service providers.
Where required by applicable privacy laws, Airmove will take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosure of Personal Information.

Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Airmove may use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect Personal Information, including access controls, authentication, system monitoring and other security measures appropriate to the information held.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information, unless we are required or authorised by law to retain it.
Certain Driver Partner information may need to be retained for a minimum period to meet legal, regulatory, accounting, insurance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention or other legitimate business requirements.
Access to your Personal Information
You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and request that it be updated and/or corrected, subject to certain exceptions.
If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.
Airmove Australia Pty Ltd will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information where permitted by law.
In order to protect your Personal Information, we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Australian privacy law generally provides individuals with a right to access personal information held about them, subject to applicable exceptions.
Maintaining the Quality of Your Personal Information
It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date.
We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up to date.
If you find that the information we have is not up to date, incomplete or inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to manage your Driver Partner account and services appropriately.
This may include information relating to your:
- Contact details;
- Driver’s licence;
- Vehicle;
- Registration;
- Insurance;
- Payment information;
- Eligibility documents; or
- Other information relevant to your Driver Partner account.
Australian Privacy Principle 13 requires reasonable steps to correct Personal Information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
Account Deletion
Driver Partners have the right to request deletion of their account and associated Personal Information at any time, subject to any legal or regulatory obligations that require Airmove to retain certain information.
If you choose to delete your Driver Partner account through the app or by contacting us, we will initiate the process to deactivate your account and permanently remove or anonymise Personal Information where reasonably possible.
When an account deletion request is received:
- Your Driver Partner account will be deactivated and scheduled for deletion.
- Personal Information associated with your account will be permanently deleted or anonymised where possible.
- Certain information may be retained for a limited period where required by law, regulatory compliance, tax or accounting obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, insurance requirements, or enforcement of our agreements.
- Information relating to completed jobs may be retained where reasonably necessary to maintain business, legal or operational records.
If you wish to request deletion of your account and Personal Information, you may do so by:
- Using the account deletion option available within the Driver App, where available; or
- Contacting us at hello@airmove.com.au with your Driver Partner account details and deletion request.
Once your request is verified, we will process the deletion within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Policy Updates
This Policy may change from time to time and is available on our website.
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our services, Driver App functionality, information handling practices, technology, or applicable privacy requirements.
Where appropriate, we will provide notice of material changes.
